Application of Dynamic Assessment of Narratives to identify DLD in EAL
It is challenging to determine developmental language disorder (DLD) in children while they are in the process of learning two languages leading to misdiagnosis. This session will review narrative development in bilingual children and present a protocol for dynamic assessment of narratives. We will discuss decision-making using the Bilingual Multidimensional Ability Scale (B-MAS) within a dynamic assessment framework.
