SPS Data Intervention Cycle
At SPS, our Data Intervention Cycle guides this work.
We begin with Assessment data, gathering meaningful information about a student's literacy and language skills and educational participation.
We then move to analysis, identifying strengths, needs, and patterns that inform our planning.
From this analysis, we develop measurable goals that are relevant to the student's learning and participation.
These goals drive the selection of evidence-based interventions, implemented in collaboration with school staff and families.

Finally, we return to data, reviewing outcomes and evaluating effectiveness to determine next steps. Data can include both summative and formative assessments.
We ensure our goals are evidence based by hearing from the experts. Our aim is not just to make improvements in student outcomes but to make the best possible improvement.
We are data driven and evidence based in all we do. This continuous cycle ensures our practice remains accountable, responsive, and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes for students. Data-informed intervention helps us demonstrate both progress and impact.
Our data intervention cycle underpins everything we do. Many of our schools in their School Improvement Plans are at the point where they are focusing on data informed practice. We are well positioned to support them with this.
